What is Luminate?

Get ready for a magical evening!

Wander through the enchanting illuminated trail, all set to soothing ambient tunes. As you stroll through your chosen venue, you'll encounter dazzling highlights that will leave you in awe.

The trail is about a mile long and should take anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your pace.

Cosy up by our fire pit and enjoy toasting marshmallows (bring your own or buy them on-site!). Enjoy delicious food and drinks from our kiosk halfway through.

Remember, it’s an outdoor adventure during winter nights, so it can get chilly, dark, and sometimes wet. Bundle up and wear sturdy shoes!

Keep in mind, Luminate doesn't feature traditional festive decorations or Father Christmas—he's busy up at the North Pole preparing for the big day!

When should I arrive?Sandringham

Please arrive no more than 15-20 minutes before your start time if you wish to enjoy the food and drink offerings, or the fun fair at the Courtyard Cafe/Kiosk before your trail begins. If you don't wish to go to the courtyard, and simply head to the start of the trail. It is approx 5 mins from the car park to our starting hut. Please note that your timed entry to the trail will be strictly adhered to and we will not be able to admit you to start the trail prior to your booked timeslot.

Please arrive no more than 10-15 minutes before your start time. From the car park the trail starts straight away (there are no shops or food and drink outlets before the start of the trial, only toilets). So please allow time to park and head to the start of our trail in readiness for your time slot opening, but do not arrive earlier than that. We will not be able to admit you prior to your booked session time. Last entry is 8.00pm. Please note the catering closes at 9.30pm

What is Luminate?Margam

Cue the magical soundtrack, and let your feet do the walking through Margam Country Park and Castle! 🌟

As you wander, the gardens and castle exterior come alive with dazzling lights and playful displays. This year's trail is like last years, but bigger, bolder, and with an extra sprinkle of pixie dust! Stretching about a mile, it’s the perfect excuse to stretch your legs and maybe your patience (depending on how often you stop for selfies). Expect to spend 60-90 magical minutes on this journey.

Need a break? Swing by our fire pit for some marshmallow-toasting action (grab some on-site or BYOM – bring your own marshmallows, don’t forget the skewers). And when hunger strikes, we've got you covered with our Courtyard café and a lineup of street food vendors serving up delicious bites until about 9pm. Don’t forget to swing by our drinks and mulled wine huts for a bit of liquid cheer! 🍷
